Summary
The course deals with wastewater treatment by biological methods. It is based on the theory of aerobic and anaerobic cleaning. Modern methods of nutrient removal are introduced. Great attention is paid to sanitation, processing and use of sludge.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to extend the knowledge of biological wastewater treatment. Describe the main technological articles including their parameters. Explain aerobic and anaerobic processes in detail. Learn about the latest nutrient removal procedures. In sludge management, pay attention to sludge hygiene and phosphorus utilization.
