Summary
The main goal of the course is to acquaint students with basic knowledge in various areas of industrial logistics (with a focus on supply, transportation and storage), especially from the system concept. In each area, the basic logistical concepts, concepts and principles are explained. The content of the course focuses on the means of automatic identification, especially with regard to RFID technology. Topics related to SMART sensors and the Internet of Things will also be discussed. Students will also get acquainted with the application potential of augmented and virtual reality in the field of logistics processes.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the management and monitoring of logistics processes using RFID technologies, including flow modeling along the logistics chain to the end customer, including traceability, using smart technologies and development of logistics processes in the Industry 4.0 concept. The focus of teaching on modern information technologies and their application in the process activities of logistics (transport, production, storage, etc.). Students will learn basic knowledge in the field of informatics and logistics corresponding to the current requirements of potential employers.

7. Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 in logistics
8. Concept of Smart Cities, Smart Logistics
9. Intelligent and assistance systems in transport
10. Augmented and virtual reality in logistics
11. Inventory theory - meaning, division of inventories. Supply logistics.
12. Storage, types of storage
13. Material flow control. Disconnection point. Concept of Total Quality Management
