Profile of the Programme |
---|
The follow-up study program aims to expand basic knowledge with the field of traditional and specialized tourism, inanimate and living nature and technical disciplines associated with the use of the earth's resources. The study focuses on the development of knowledge analysis, planning and implementation of such specialized tourism. Great emphasis is placed on the analysis, processing and use of information and data that are necessary to address the issues of geoscience and industrial tourism. Special attention is paid to the selection of new and suitable tourist activities, which will be adapted more and more to the dynamically developing tourism industry. The proposed study program responds and fills the gap in the education of professionals whose need arises from the basic trends in tourism development, ie a very significant growing interest in natural and technical monuments and the growing individualization of the requirements of those interested in such tourism. The follow-up master's study continues the 23-year tradition of the bachelor's study program in Geoscience and Industrial Tourism. |

Graduates of this study program will gain a broad knowledge of natural and technical sciences, which they will be able to apply for the needs of geoscience and industrial tourism, as well as for the needs of traditional forms of tourism. The graduate can professionally describe the tourist attractiveness of individual geological, mining, and industrial buildings or areas. He can independently and creatively solve complex problems using selected theories, concepts, case studies and methods. The graduate can make independent decisions in new or changing contexts, or to adapt to new specific needs in tourism. He can use his professional knowledge, skills and general competences in at least one foreign, mostly English language. |
