Summary
The management of an enterprise nowadays faces completely new challenges. Traditional business administration concepts cannot cope with the ensuing demand for adaptation and adjustment. It is far more the case that change must be managed by introducing fundamentally new and far-reaching approaches for business restructuring. This applies particularly for small and medium-sized companies that are the growth motor of every economy. The special focus is of the course is on entrepreneurship, innovation, business plan.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
1. Students be able to choose right legal entities.
2. They would have basic skills in operations, finance, marketing and human resource management during a starting of business.
3. Student would able to plan personal as well as external resources of their enterprises.
4. They would definite idea, clear vision of business.
5. Students get also the necessary know-how about wherewithal for accessing to business.

1.Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship
SME in EU. SBA in USA. Definition, criteria.
2.Legal Aspect of the Business
Sole trader. Partnerships. Limited company. Unlimited company. Advantages and disadvantages. Other factors linked to incorporation.
3.Innovation and Small Business
Small firms as innovators. Creativity of owners. The sources for innovative opportunity. Microtrends.
4.Preparing a Business Plan
Content od business plan. Why, who, when , for whom. Criteria of business plan. The markets, customers and competition. The long-term plans of the business.
5.Business Name, Mission statement.
Rule for creating names. Commercional register. Mission statement of well known enterprises. Intent of Mission statement.
6.Financing the Business
Financial stability. Types of finance. 3 F Theory. Sources of finance. Strategic aspects of finance.
7.Managing the Business
Entrepreneur, owner, manager – relationship. Manager and his role. Specific aspects of SMEs´ management.
