Summary
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Understand and apply basic methods of analysis and risk assessment. The course is focused on individual steps of risk assessment, their mutual relations and links. Selected methods of risk analysis most commonly used in Europe and in the world will be presented.

1. Introduction to area of Major Accident Prevention.
2. Definitions, Seveso III.
3. Classification of Hazardous substance, effects of accidents.
4. Risk Assessment principle.
5. Description of risk analysis methods.
6. Selection method from CPR 18E Purple Book.
7. Method IAEA-TECDOC-727.
8. Method Dow F&EI – Fire and Explosion Index.
9. Method Dow CEI – Chemical Exposure Index.
10. Consequence Modelling.
11. Software ALOHA, EFFECTS, etc.
12. Methodology QRA – Quantitative Risk Assessment.
13. Case study of Risk Analysis.
