Summary
Machining is one of the basic full-time undergraduate degree courses in all disciplines at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Includes advanced fundamentals of machining, metrology and assembly for the understanding of product design in relation to technological aspects and to obtain the most basic concepts of manufacturing technology components of the basic methods of control and measurement of machine parts and methods of installation of machinery and equipment.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The completion of this course in deepening their knowledge of machining technology, the basics of measuring and fitting. Can you classify the different ways of working, to measure the basic parameters of Engineering and focus on simple assembly.

MEASUREMENT

3rd TERMINOLOGY, METHODS OF CUTTING DISTRIBUTION, DESCRIPTION CUTTING TOOL, MOVEMENTS IN MACHINING, TOOL ANGLES AND PLANE

4th PRODUCTION AND CHIP FORMING, HEAT AND TEMPERATURE DURING MACHINING, HEAT BALANCE CUTTING ENVIRONMENT

5th WEAR EDGE TOOLS, DURABILITY AND TOOL LIFE, TAYLOR RELATIONSHIP, RUSTINESS TOOLS, MACHINABILITY MATERIALS

Exercises lessons:
Exercise program:
1st Introduction, familiarization with the exercise program, recommended literature. Safety briefing.
2nd Fundamentals of measurement - caliper, micrometer (program 1).
3rd Workshop exercise - turning.
4th Workshop exercise - milling.
5th Tools - materials, cutting and wedge geometry of the system and working tool.
6th Tools - machine tools and examples of determining the planes and angles.
7th Test No. 1 Measurement of cutting tool geometry (program 2).
8th Workshop to develop the manufacturing process - practicing basic concepts and definitions, machinery and tools for turning, milling, drilling and grinding, clamping of workpieces and tools.
9th Examples of production processes, work with departments classifications, catalogs of machines and tools, norms.
10th Machine time for turning and milling.
11th Development of the manufacturing process - consultation programs, monitoring development (program 3).
12th No. 2 Test Development and consultation processes.
13th Development and consultation processes.
14th Final practice - evaluation exercise, the grant credits.

Note: Exercises 3 and 4 will be carried out according to a set plan and schedule.
