Summary
The course is devoted to the basics of environmental sedimentology. Students will learn the basic principles of classification of sediments. A substantial part is devoted to an overview of individual sedimentation environments and genetic types of sediments. It includes the stratigraphic significance of sediments.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Knowledge and explanation how to recognise the common lithologies, textures and sedimentary structures, and how to record and measure these features.
