Nostrification means recognition of previous education. In case of bachelor´s studies it means recognition of the secondary school leaving certificate. In case of master´s studies it means recognition of bachelor´s diploma and of transcript of records.
There are two types of nostrifications: A "small" nostrification - costs 600 CZK (approx. 23 Euro), it takes up to two weeks to process and is valid only for the given academic year and only for the given study program. A "large" nostrification - costs 3000 CZK (approx. 120 Euro), it takes up to one month to process and is valid for unlimited time and for any Czech university. For "large" nostrification also needs to be filled in form Application for Recognition. This form can be sent via email upon request by our Recognition dept. ()
It depends on which country issued your educational documents; i.e. school leaving certificate or a Bachelor´s diploma and Transcript of Records. If you just need an Apostille, you can contact a Foreign Office of the country that issued your document and send them either the original document for the Apostille stamp or a verified copy of the document.
If you need to obtain a superlegalisation then you first need to obtain an Apostille (see above) and then also a superlegalisation stamp from the Czech Embassy in your country.
Then you should send the documents with the ORIGINAL stamp/s to our Recognition dept. at via email but also via a courier.
The address is:
VSB – Technical University of Ostrava 9220 - Recognition dept. 17. listopadu 2172/15 Ostrava – Poruba 708 00 Czech Republic
In case of the „large“ nostrification you will also need to submit filled in form Application for Recognition. This form can be sent via email upon request by our Recognition dept. ()
