The course provides a practical instruction and support for doctoral students in writing their project and grant applications in English.
First, students learn the key vocabulary and phrases, and they find about the culture-related aspects of written texts, i.e. the differences when writing in different cultures, specifically the particularities of an English-medium text.
The course also focuses on the key aspects of successful project application process such as understanding the terms and conditions/ project documentation, writing for target audiences, understanding the review process, and learning from the evaluators' feedback.
In the course students write and revise their grant abstract/ application, and present the grant idea.
Who is the course addressed to?
PhD students. All need to be able to function in English (B2 level and higher).
