VŠB-TUO supports the European initiative #ScienceForUkraine

VŠB-TUO supports the European initiative #ScienceForUkraine

#ScienceForUkraine, a community group of volunteer students and research scientists from academic institutions in Europe and around the world, has created a platform to collect and disseminate information about support opportunities at university, national and international level for graduate students and researchers directly affiliated to an academic institution in Ukraine.

How can the university get involved and what forms of support can be offered?

Help can be given in a variety of ways, and even the smallest support makes a difference. On the #ScienceForUkraine portal, through the interactive forms, "Submit a new academic position" or "Submit a new academic transfer", specific offers can be made to graduate students and researchers from Ukraine (e.g. fellowship/scholarship, research visit, part time/full time employment, accomodation in a dormitory or institution guest quarters, support for accompanying family members, office space, computer with internet access, access to library and/or lab facilities). All current offers are posted on the #ScienceForUkraine website in the "Current help offers" section and further promoted on social media such as Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.

The central Czech platform www.researchin.cz, operated by the directly managed organisation of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth - the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research in cooperation with the Cabinet of the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation of the the Government of the Czech Republic, is also connected to the European platform #ScienceForUkraine.  For this purpose, a simple form has been created for filling in the positions offered by the institution. All offers are automatically published on the central RESEARCH IN platform, on the Czech Research Jobs portal, and if the #ScienceForUkraine section is filled in, also on the platform of the European initiative #ScienceForUkraine. For more information, please contact researchin@dzs.cz.
