While VSB-Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO) was ranked 1883 in the world in the 2021-2022 edition, it has reached 1801 position in the latest 2022-2023 ranking. In the national ranking, it has moved up from 11 to 10 position. Among 12 Czech universities, Charles University in Prague performed best, followed by Masaryk University and Palacký University Olomouc.
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) ranks universities based on four factors without relying on surveys and university data submissions: education (25%), graduate employability (25%), staff quality (10%), and research (40%). This year, 19,788 institutions were evaluated, and those that placed at the top spots made the CWUR’s Global 2000 list.
In the research category, VSB-TUO is ranked 1779 in the current edition of the ranking and has improved by 71 positions year-on-year. It maintains roughly the same position in the graduate employment category (640 / 643).
For the eleventh year in a row, Harvard University is the top university in the world, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University. Full details are available here.
