Cílem předmětu je získat vědomosti o technických prostředcích automatizace a o jejich praktickém použití při vypracování doktorandské práce a zvládnutí vědeckých metod při využití těchto prostředků. Studentovy dílčí vědomosti jsou uspořádány v rámci doktorandského studia tak, aby byl schopen samostatné analýzy, syntézy a prezentace svých myšlenek.
