Information for applicants

Applied physics at the VŠB - TU Ostrava offers not only a broad theoretical knowledge in physics but also a practical involvement in the work of companies. Part of the study plans are the practice in companies tied to the scientific and research fields of key specialists of the Department of Physics at the FEI VŠB - TU Ostrava. Problems of these companies are also linked to the topics of qualification work. The experimental part of the qualification (master's thesis) is solved by the students directly in the respective company, which is interested in the student becoming a staff member after graduation. Major areas of interest include nuclear physics, magnetism, optics, and materials breaking technology.
