Study programme Thermal energetics engineering

The purpose of the study program is to provide teaching in the field of thermal energy. Students are acquainted with the basics of thermal technology, modern methods of obtaining and utilization of thermal energy, including secondary, and with materials intended for application in thermal process conditions. Students will understand the physical principles of heat transport, combustion processes, heating and cooling processes, criteria for selection and evaluation of ceramic materials applicable in thermal energy systems. Students are also able to assess the influence of thermal processes on environmental components, they know the methods of thermal treatment of waste.
