Study programme Materials Engineering

Study program Materials Engineering offers, above all, excellent job perspectives from the point of view of the labour market. Students will get acquainted with all important groups of engineering materials - from metals, through polymers, structural ceramics to composite materials. The study program comprises basic information about technologies of preparation and processing of materials, deals in detail with testing of properties and structure of materials. Departments that provide tuition in the study program have laboratory facilities that can stand comparison with top-class workplaces in developed countries. Students can participate in the solution of industrial problems already during their studies and can also take part in internships abroad. In the case of interest, graduates can extend their knowledge in the Master´s study program Materials Engineering or can study Double Degree Program between VŠB-TU Ostrava and National Yokohama University, Japan.
