The subject uses risk analysis methods to evaluate the basic types of risks threatening aquatic ecosystems used for water supply, specifies emerging natural risks and anthropogenic hazards affecting water resources and production and technical equipment of water mains for public use. Based on the results of the analysis, their comparison with developments in the world and the use of new scientific knowledge in the field, it introduces the possibility of real risk minimization.
