Subject syllabus

The course deals with the properties of rigid materials used in construction and their changes in connection with the effects of fire and the interpretation of these changed properties in relation to the fire resistance of structures and fire safety. The subject is based on characteristics describing the flammability, flammability and development of smoke from solid materials. In connection with the possibility of a partial reduction of the fire risk, the subject also includes systems for fire protection of materials and structures together with the possibilities of verifying their effectiveness and certain properties.
