Subject syllabus

Toxicology as a scientific discipline and a form of risk management. Substances hazardous to human health and
manifestations: systemic toxicity, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, reproductive toxicity,
teratogenicity, corrosivity, irritation, toxicity to the environment, other
manifestations (endocrine disruptors, allergens, sensitization). Substances dangerous for
environment. Relation Dose - effect, limits of hazardous substances at work and
environment, determining risk, sources of information on the toxicity of substances
used in industry.
