Subject syllabus

Basic concepts and definitions - danger, risk,
probability, severity. Sources of danger and risk of transmission. industrial
activities as a source of risk to humans, the environment and for their own
industrial facilities. Preliminary identification methods and risk assessment -
index methods (PHA, DOW indexes, IAEA TEC-DOC? 27 ...), and their use
restrictions. Tools and detailed risk analysis - fault and event trees, HAZOP,
CPQRA, MOSAR. Toxicological aspects of industrial risks, ecotoxicology.
Explosions (UVCE, BLEVE, TNT model) and fires. Crisis management, emergency response plans,
crisis communication. Legal aspects of industrial risks.
