Osnova předmětu

The objective of this subject is to introduce to students the science of danger (cyndinique) as scientific discipline. Following topics will be studied: Terminology in risk sciences. Basic concepts of hazard, danger, risk, vulnerability. Various kinds of risks and their treatment, the development of their understanding in history, socio-cultural, socio-economic and natural sciences (physic, chemistry…) oriented context. Safety ethics, ALARA, ALARP. Science of danger as multidisciplinary field, various degrees and sources of safety complexity. Systemic and systematic approach to the safety treatment, general principles of tools and methods of safety complexity study with emphasis on physical and chemical disciplines and social decision making. Importance of natural, technical and social sciences for risk understanding and mitigation.
