Course objectives:
• Become familiar with the Virtualization tools (VMware, Oracle VirtualBox).
• Become familiar with the Linux desktop (Gnome) and confident in your ability to perform basic tasks in Linux.
• Learn how to get help for all problems you might have.
• Understand the structure of the Linux file system and how to work in the file system (e.g. copying, moving)
• Learn how to work with the Linux Shell and Command Line Interface.
• Learn how to manage users, groups and file permissions to ensure a basic file systm security.
• Learn how to edit configuration files with an graphical editor ort he command line editor vi.
• Learn how to manage software with RPM.
• Administer Linux processes and services.
• Administer storage.
• Configure network.
• Configure remote access.
• Automate tastks.
• Manage backup and recovery.
