Subject syllabus

1. Basic principles of fire resistance calculation, limit state method.
2. Temperature-time curves, standard time-temperature curve, probable fire time-temperature curve, heat transfer.
3. Steel structures - simplified heat exposure model, mechanical properties depending on temperature.
4. Steel structures - structural response model.
5. Steel structure - fire resistance assessment of structural elements and joints.
6. Composite steel and timber structures - simplified heat exposure model, mechanical properties depending on temperature.
7. Composite steel and timber structures - structural response model, fire resistance, assessment of structural elements and joints.
8. Timber structures - simplified heat exposure model.
9. Timber structures - mechanical properties depending on temperature, structural response model.
10. Timber structures - fire resistance assessment.
11. Concrete structures, simplified heat exposure model.
