Subject syllabus

Lectures:
1. Introduction to underground construction.
2. Geotechnical survey for underground constructions
3. New tunnel tunnel method
4. Modern tunneling procedures - ADECO, NTM, Prelinnig
5. Insulation - materials (foils, sprays), ventilation systems of transport tunnels
6. Portals of underground structures
7. Maintenance of utility networks
8. Mikrotuneling - controlled mining methods
9. Construction of urban underground construction by trenching
10. Subway - types, design requirements, stations
11. Mechanized stamping
12-14. Expert lecture, building visit, video demonstrations

Exercises:
1.-3. week: Classification systems (Prot., Terzaghi, RQD, RMR, RSM, QTS, Q index, GSI)
4. The assignment of the semester project - construction of the collector
5. Vault theory (Cimbarevich, Salustowic, Suquet)
6. Surface deformations, pressure at the bottom of the excavation
7.-14. Satic evaluation of tunnel cross section and reinforcement through program systems(GEO MKP, Midas).
