Subject syllabus

The programme of lectures:
A pumping system, its layout, boundary conditions, parameters of the pump system, energy balance, determination of specific energy required to liquid transport.
Viscous fluid flow in pipes, pressure loss in laminar and turbulent flow in pipes, hydraulic calculation of the pipe, the graphic solution, the system characteristic
Characteristics of pipes connected in series and parallel, transport due gravity, characteristics of closed and open systems
Allocation pumps according to the principle of energy conversion. Classification and grading of specific speed. Hydrostatic pumps, principles, parameters, characteristics, range of application
Hydrodynamic pumps, principles, parameters, characteristics, basic construction, the area of application
Hydrodynamic pump in hydro-transport system, the operating point of the pumping system, pump performance parameters,pump selection for the specific installation
Pumps in parallel and serial connections, change the operating point, determining performance parameters
Control of performance parameters of the pump, the outlet throttle control, bypass control, reducing the average output, speed change control
Cavitation in pump cavitation characteristics holiday destination geodetic suction height
Pipe network analysis, calculation of flowrate nad pressure losses in branched and circuit networks
Unsteady flow regime and water hammer in the pipeline.
