Subject syllabus

1. Division of airliner systems.
2. Pneumatic system, physiology of staying at heights, overpressure.
3. Cabin air conditioning systems - air conditioning.
4. Aircraft hydraulic system, basics of hydromechanics, main structural elements of the system, backup elements (PTU, RAT).
5. Fuel system, description, types of fuels, tanks, fuel distribution, measurement of quantity, flow, fuel temperature, fuel preheating.
6. Electrical system of the aircraft - AC network, generators, wiring, protection, engine drive (CSD, IDG), external source, APU.
7. Electrical system of the aircraft - DC network, converters, batteries, buses, backup systems (RAT).
8. Aircraft control system, automatic control systems, FBW, FBL.
9. Frost protection systems, Anti-Ice, De-Ice systems, protection of bearing surfaces, motors, propellers, windows, sensors.
10. Chassis - control systems, signaling, control systems (NWS), Antiskid, Autobrake.
11. Communication systems, control, VHF, HF, SELCAL, ACARS, CPDLC, communication in the cabin, emergency transmitters.
12. Fire detection systems, extinguishing systems. Other systems - oxygen systems, toilets, galley.
13. Flight recording systems - Flight data recorders, Cocpit voice recorders. Fault recording and reporting systems.
14. Documentation of aircraft construction and equipment - MMEL, MEL, CDL, FCOM flight manual. Discussion.
