Subject syllabus
1. Assignment of a semester project in the field of aircraft maintenance, including the definition of the topic, the project’s objectives, and a timeline for completion.
2. Analysis of a selected maintenance problem, process, or procedure using available technical, operational, or service documentation.
3. Ongoing consultation on the semester project and monitoring of progress.
4. Field trip to an aircraft manufacturer focusing on practical knowledge of design, production, assembly, quality control, and the impact of design solutions on subsequent maintenance.
5. Field trip to an aircraft maintenance organization, focusing on actual maintenance procedures, work organization, maintenance records, control mechanisms, and operational safety requirements.
6. Presentation and defense of the semester project, followed by a discussion of the results.
