1. Welding Basics, Creation and Definition of Welded Joint.
2. Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification Record .
(WPQR).
3. Types of Welded Joints, Types of Welded Constructions , Welded Joint Design.
4. Thermal Cycles, Heat Affected Zone.
5. Fundamental of Steel Weldability.
6. Joining Processes (Fusion and Solid-State Welding). Oxyfuel Gas Welding (311).
7. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW, MMAW-111).
8. Gas-Metal Arc Welding (GMAW-135,131), Gas-Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW-141).
9. Electric Resistance Welding (ERW).
10. Submerged Arc Welding (SAW-121).
11. Thermal Cutting: Oxy-Acetylene Cutting, Plasma Arc Cutting.
12. Weld Defects-Imperfections in Welds, Non-Destructive Evaluation.
13. Introduction to Brazing and Soldering.

List of seminars:
1. Introductory seminar. Safety in welding. Basic welding terms.
2. Welding demonstrations: Basic welding, brazing and thermal cutting methods - welding laboratory.
3. Project assignment. Design of parent material and consumables. Selection of welding parameters for basic welding technologies.
4. Design of weld joint, weld edges, weld layers, calculation of consumption of consumables. Consultation on the project.
5. Calculation of preheating temperature. Heat treatment of welded joints. Consultation on the project.
6. Quality in welding. pWPS - WPQR - WPS. Final test.
