Subject syllabus

The course work is assigned to 3 projects, including developing procedures and information needed by engineers working in the CAM system. Students will learn how to work in a specific CAM system, which is taught in the Department of machining and assembly.
1. Explication basic terms.
2. Creation a manufacturing process in CAD / CAM systems.
3. Import geometric data in a CAM system.
4. Setting the initial conditions for machining.
5. Technology of free form surface milling.
6. 2.5 axis and 3 axis milling technology
7. Divide a description of the basic strategies of multi-axis milling.
8. 2.5 axis roughing milling.
9. 3 axis roughing milling.
10. 3 axis strategy of semi finishing and finishing.
11. 3 axis strategy of rest machining.
12. Determination of cutting parameters in relation to the surface roughness at the free form surface milling.
13. The final phase of the production process in the CAM system (Postprocessing, Creating NC code, Preparation of documentation).
14. Final practice - Evaluation.
