Subject syllabus

1. Communication between humans and technology.
2. Controls, their classification, solutions, standardization, placement.
3. Indicators, classification, solutions, standardization, placement, relationship between controls and indicators.
4. Environmental properties: lighting, noise, vibrations, climatic conditions in the workplace (temperature, humidity, air flow). Legislation, measurement.
5. Color selection in design and its effects on humans, safety significance of colors.
6. Health and safety at work, ergonomic design.
7. Dimensional design of the workplace, visibility conditions, somatometry of the human body.
8. Access points and inspection openings for accessing machinery and equipment.
9. Normative and legislative requirements for bringing a product to market.
10. Railings, walking surfaces.
11. Government and EU regulations on machinery.
12. EuroCode - Overview of applicable legislation.
13. Designing steel structures according to ČSN EN 1993 and anchoring into concrete according to ČSN EN 1992-4.
