Subject syllabus

1. Drive, mechanism, machine. Dynamics of the transmission systems, motion equation. Drive characteristics and load characteristic. Static and dynamic characteristics, steady state, stability condition of the steady state.
2. Four quadrant control, types of the load. Feed forward and closed loop control.

3. Pneumatic drives – structure of the pneumatic circle, classification of the pneumatic drives.
4. Pneumatic drives – types of the circuits, control of the pneumatic drives, control valves.
5. Closed loop position control of the pneumatic cylinder.
6. Hydraulic drives - structure of the pneumatic circle, classification of the hydraulic drives.
7. Hydraulic drives - types of the circuits, control of the hydraulic drives, control valves.
8. Closed loop position control of the hydraulic cylinder.
9. Closed loop pressure control.
10. Closed loop force control.
11. Digital Control systems for the servomechanisms.
12. Electric drives - classification of the electric drives, DC motor, control.
13. Electric drives – AC motor, control of the motion, frequency controller.
14. Design of the control systems of the motion systems, control systems, controllers, measuring of the motion variables. Set up phase, maintenance. Industrial examples.
