Osnova předmětu

1. Basics of safety when working with electrical equipment, effects of current on humans, basic rules and methods of protection against electric shock.
2. Basic laws in electrical engineering, introduction to the basics of the theory of electric circuits (sources, elements, connections, etc.).
3. Structural elements of electrical circuits and their classification (elements, conductivity of substances, work and power of DC electric current).
4. Basics of electrical measurement (purpose, concepts, methods, classification and properties of measuring instruments, measurement of electrical and selected non-electrical quantities).
5. Alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) electrical circuits (generation of alternating voltage, RLC elements in DC and AC circuits).
6. Alternating current electrical circuits – single-phase AC circuits, three-phase AC circuits (power, circuit design, use).
7. Basic knowledge of magnetism and magnetic circuits – introductory theory, terminology, quantities, basic rules and laws, classification of materials, properties, use in electrical devices.
8. Types of electric drives and description of the principles of their function, control methods, drive characteristics.
9. Basics of semiconductor technology – P-N junction, diodes, transistors, thyristors, triacs, V-A characteristics of these elements, rectifiers, basic applications in electrical devices.
10. Basics of logic control – basic logic functions, solutions of KLO, SLO, contacts, gate arrays, PLC, single-chip computers.
11. Standardized signals and communication interfaces used in technical practice.
12. Description and internal structure of control systems used in technical practice, control (regulation, control).
13. Transformers – classification, description of construction, principle of operation, use.
