Subject syllabus

1. Introduction, repetition of thermomechanics and hydromechanics, energy, sources, sort of energy machines and their use.
2. Volumetric compressors - description of the activity, distribution, types, main parameters, the theoretical foundation of the conversion of energy in the ideal and the actual compressor.
3. Piston, rotary and screw compressors – scheme, description of the aktivity, sort, the main parameters. Measuring the performance and energy characteristics. Regulation.
4. Jet compressors, scheme, description of the activity, the main parameters.
5. Dynamic compressors - Radial turbocompressors, the description, the transformation of the energy, the shapes of the blades of the rotor and their influence on the construction of machines.
6. Dynamic compressors - axial turbocompressors, transformation of thr energy, the triangles of speed, the transformation of the energy in the i-s diagram.
7. Pumps,transformation of energy, energy and head in pump systems.
8. Parallel and serial cooperation of dynamic machines, operating point.
9. Rankin - Clausis steam cycle, i-s and T-s diagram, improving of efficiency.
10. Steam turbines - axial, elementary stage, the principle of activity, transformation of energy, type of stages - impulse, pressure, speed and their use.
11. Steam turbines - radial, principle of activities, the transformation of energy.
12. Accessories, condensation, vacuum pumps, cooling towers.
13. Combustion turbines, thermal cycles, the principle of the devices.
14. Steam-gas cycles.
