Course aims

Special application of energy, Nuclear power station, heat transfer, especial
articles for using of nuclear power, different type of power stations.Heat
transfer in nuclear reactor, construction and types of reactor, regulation and
operation, safety, pumpes and turbines, heat exangers.Technological
equipments. Nuclear power and environment.
Excursions: Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant, JEDU Summer School of Nuclear Energy, JETE, Geological Pavilion, uranium collections,
State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB), Nuclear Safety, Radiation Protection, Monitoring of Radiation Situation, Stress Tests of Nuclear Power Plants
Professional Practice: School Nuclear Reactor of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Subcritical Reactor VR-2 is a very flexible facility that offers a number of experimental and educational opportunities. The main part of the activities consists of teaching nuclear engineering students. The facility is used for teaching laboratory tasks.
