Subject syllabus

Lectures:
Program EMTP-ATP, using, basic structure, solving and post-processing.
Simulation of transient effects in switching-on at 3ph supply network.

Simulation of transient effects in switching-off at 3ph supply network.
Influence of power network and extiguisher at switching-off operation in alternative current circuits (deformation of current by resistivity of electric arc, breaking of inductive current)
Influence of power network and extiguisher at switching-off operation in alternative current circuits (switching-off capacitance current, short-line fault)
Simulation of power lines and cables by Line/Cable constants
Equivalent circuit diagram of transformer.
Equivalent circuit diagram of turning-motion machines.
Contactless switching, control circuits, simulating of rectifiers.
Simplification of electric circuits, post-processing.

Projects:
Students will make project of transient effect model.

Introduction to ATP-EMTP software, pre-processing, solving and post-processing.
