Subject syllabus

Topics:
Fundamentals of diagnostics. Industrial buses and their use in practice.
A/D and D/A converters. Sampling, effect of sampling rate on measurement accuracy and correctness of measured data evaluation. Digital signal reconstruction.
Analysis of analogue, digital signal. Time series data analysis, digital filtering. Statistics tests.
Design of measurement methodology. Selection of appropriate technical (HW) and software (SW) resources.
Use of technical and software tools for diagnostics.
Protection of signal lines against interference.
Development systems for measurement, control and control design.
Virtualisation. Modelling and simulation of measurements.
Archiving and processing of measured data. Data sharing.

Project, possible topics:
- Design of a specific measurement circuit for diagnostics.
- Algorithmisation of bulk data processing.
