Subject syllabus

Lectures:
Elements of control circuit – systems and controllers.
The method of standard forms of transfer Transfers and transient characteristics.
Structures of controlled drive. The control quality, effects of secondary controlled loops.
The design methods of structures of controlled drives. The methods of standard forms of transfer.
DC controlled drives. The static and dynamic behaviour of a separately-excited DC motor with voltage variation. Static and dynamic features of action parts - Ward-Leonard rotary converter, thyristor controlled rectifier and DC/DC converter.
The armature current control of separately-excited DC motor. The speed control of separately-excited DC motor with and without secondary current loop.
AC drives with induction motors. Frequency control. Quantities waveforms at frequency control.
Scalar control of induction motor drives.
Vector control of induction motor drives. Direct torque control.
Optimal control of induction motor drives.
AC drives with synchronous motors with field winding and permanent magnet excitation. Vector control of synchronous motors.

Exercises:
Examples of typical dynamic elements and their description in time area.
Open control circuit, closed control circuit. The control quality. Using the optimal module method and symetrical optimum method.
DC controlled drives. The solution at different types of converters.
Test no.1. Analysis and synthesis of current loop of separately-excited DC motor.
Test no.2. Analysis and synthesis of speed loop of separately-excited DC motor.
