Subject syllabus

Basic knowledge summary of digital and microprocessor techniques, current modern 32-bit microprocessors and microcontrollers characteristics for use in real-time applications.
Discrete digital signals, methods of their analysis, transmission functions and their description.
Digital signal processing algorithms implementation. Basic structures of digital filters.
Digital FIR filter, properties, design, frequency response, implementation in C language.
Digital IIR filter, properties, design, frequency response, implementation in C language.
Discrete Fourier Transform and Fast Fourier Transform.
Adaptive filtration, LMS-type algorithm and its implementation.
Instruction set and its use, connection to programming in C language. Algorithm Optimization, utilization of library functions.
Architecture of signal processors and microcontrollers, its division, instruction pipelining, VLIW architecture, computational unit characteristics (ALU, FPU, CLA, TMU, VCU), Dual-core multiprocessor systems.
Internal peripherals of signal microcontrollers, analogue input and output, parallel and serial data transmission, direct memory access, user communication and superior system.
Signal microcontrollers TMS320F28335 and TMS320F28379S (D), basic parameters, internal architecture, memory organization, internal peripherial systém.
FPGA and digital signal processor link.
Utilization of signal microcontrollers in power electronics applications, control of power inverters.
Utilization of digital signal processing algorithms in the field of regulation of electric drives and power systems.
