Subject syllabus

Lectures:

Modern power semiconductor parts and their application - bipolar power transistors, IGBT, GTO thyristors.
The DC - switches. The DC - converters. Design of control DC - converters circuits.
The voltage - type converters, output current and voltage analyse.
The current - type converters, output voltage and current analyse, applications, control circuits.
Frequency converters with voltage / current - type DC link, cykloconverters.

Modern ways how to control the output voltage and current of frequency converters.
Realisation of control frequency converters circuits.
