Subject syllabus

Lectures:
1. Design methods of continuous controllers on the basis of desired characteristics of the control loop.
2. Design methods of discrete controllers on the basis of desired characteristics of the control loop.
3. Design of simple nonlinear controllers and their characteristics.
4. Hardware and software controllers design on the different target platforms
(PLCs, microcontrollers,. Embedded PCs).
5. Realization with PLC and microcontrollers.
6. Compact selftunning controllers.
7. Sensors and actuators connection in the control loop.
8. Analog and digital filtration
9. Industrial PCs for control, measuring and communications interfaces
10. Electric drive in control. Stepper drive and their control
11. Industrial communication.
12. Industrial wireless communication
13. Hydraulic and pneumatic elements and systems
14. Connection of elements and industrial wiring.


Laboratories:

1. DAQ card service introduction in Windows, development of program in C# language
2. Design and realization of the PID-PSD controller for the given physical model based on the
PC data acquisition card.
3. Design and realization of the PID-PSD controller for the given physical model based on the PLC.
4. Design and realization of the PID-PSD controller for the given physical model based on the
microcontroller.
5. Design and realization of the nonlinear controller for the given physical model based on the
PC data acquisition card.
6. Design and realization of the nonlinear controller for the given physical model based on the PLC.
7. Design and realization of the nonlinear controller for the given physical model based on the microcontroller.
8. Calculation, modelling and realization of analog filter
9. Development of demo program for digital input and output control, PWM.
10. Development of demo program for analog input and output control

Semsestral work

Projects:
All students received 2 individual projects, which elaborate with using
control instumentations and PC.

Computer labs:
1. Modeling of the PID-PSD controller design in the computer. Analysis of characteristics.
Submission of the first lab works.
2. Modeling of the nonlinear controller design in the computer. Analysis of characteristics.
Submission of the second lab works.
3. Credit check test.
