Subject syllabus

•Microscopic technique - light microscopy.
Purpose of light microscopy, description of the microscope, theory and characteristics of the image, technical parameters of the microscope, lenses, oculars. Types of microscopes according to the methods of light microscopy.
•Microscopic techniques - electron microscopy.
Physical theory of electron microscopy. Transmission and scanning electron microscope. Preparation preparations for TEM and SEM.
•Endoscopic technique.
History of endoscopy. Principles, technical implementation and use of traditional endoscopic techniques in different clinical fields - gastroscope, bronchoscope, Artroscope, proctoscope, rhinoscope, choledoscope, thorachoscope, cytoscope, laparoscope, hysteroscope. Capsule endoscopy.
•Ophthalmic equipment.
Visual system - the human eye as an optical system, cut eye and and description of its parts, features of eye according to its surroundings (adaptation, accommodation, visual sensitivity, glare, perception of image, visual acuity and defects of vision. Ophthalmic instruments and methods of vision testing.
•Stomatology technics.
Physical phenomena in dentistry. Specialized dental technician in the ordination and laboratory. X-ray technology in dentistry. Tools, materials and dentures.
•Laboratory equipment - biochemical devices.
Biochemical laboratories, laboratory methods and testing procedures, devices and equipment, biochemical automatic-machines, laboratory equipment.
•Laboratory equipment - hematology instruments.
Hematologic laboratories, laboratory methods and testing procedures, devices and equipment, hematological automatic-machines, laboratory equipment.
•Hemodialysis technology.
Physico-chemical principles of dialysis, dialyzer, dialysis machine - block diagram and function. Water for hemodialysis purposes, water treatment plant, concentrates.
•Sterilization techniques.
Introduction to epidemiology, sterilization, disinfection. Hot air, steam, chemical and plasma sterilization technology. Germicidal lamps. Sterilization of special medical equipment.
•Devices in surgeon rooms.
Surgeon room, surgical lamps, tables, anesthesia machine, monitors of basic life functions, defibrillator, X-ray / C - arm, heater for infusion and transfusion, infusion pump, linear dispenser, aspirator.
•Surgeon equipments and tools.
Surgery, cardiac and neurosurgery technology. Electrocoagulator, laser, ultrasonic scalpel, cryocauter, insuflator, laparoscopic equipment, operating microscope. Equipment for extracorporeal circulation, Instrumentarium.
•Surgical robots.
Robotic operations, navigation systems, invasive laparoscopy.
•Electrical and non-electrical power distribution in the hospital.
Electro-distribution, control panel for surgeon room, an alternative source. Medicinal gases, steam, ventilation and air condition, laminar flow, germicidal lamps.
•Technology for teaching medical disciplines.
Phantoms, trainers and simulators, surgical techniques teaching.
