Subject syllabus

Lectures:
Basic part of measurement system. Classification of sensors. Statical and dynamical characteristics of sensors. Transformation of information by sensor.

Resistive-type sensors. Position sensors. Strain gauges.
Resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). Resistance detectors of rediant and magnetic signals.
Inductance-type sensors. Capacitive-type sensors.
Inductive sensors. Magnetic sensors.
Ionisation and emision sensors. Piezoelectric sensors. Radiant sensors.
Thermoelectric sensors.
Lenth, dimension and position measurement.
Movement, acceleration and vibration measurement. Force and moment measurement. Strain measurement.
Pressure and vacuum measurement.
Flow measurement.
Temperature measurement.
Humidity measurement. Gas and lignit composition measurement.
Microelectronic sensors. Optoelectronic sensors.

Laboratories:
Introductory session. Safety in laboratory, organisation of laboratory exercises.
LE1. Measurement of load and connecting wiring infuence on the static characteristig of resistance sensor.
LE2. Dynamical properties of thermocouple.
LE3. The influence of feedback on eleimination of magnetoelectric current sensors errors.

Disccusion of LE1,LE2,LE3 results and achievements.
LE4. Rotational velocity measurement. The demonstration of influence of sensor pressure measurement system.
LE5. Strain gauge.
LE6. Capacitive sensors. The influence of connecting wiring on statical characteristic.
