Subject syllabus

The course focuses on selected parts of nuclear physics according to the topic of PhD. thesis, in particular:

Models of atomic nuclei.
Radioactivity, decay chains and nuclear reactions.
Detectors in nuclear physics.
Neutron physics, applications of neutrons in material science.
Monte-Carlo modeling of neutron fields and interaction of neutrons and gamma rays with matter.
Selected applications of nuclear physics (nuclear analytical methods, radionuclides in environment, applications in medicine).
