Course aims

The main goal of this subject is to make students acquainted with the basic methods of the technical exploratory works. The students have to learn technically describe and characterize dewatering and tapping wells and their constructional design, especially their lower part, equipped with the submersible pumps and filters. They will be able to explain the principle of their operation. In the thematic part relating to the problems of groundwater tapping they will be able to apply gained knowledge by the judgement and proposition of varieties of tapping equipment in various tapping areas. By use of the analyse they have to lear how to propose such the tapping equipment configuration as it could be utilized in the various conditions of groundwater storage. By use of the synthesis necessary to the formatization of the final form of solution they will be able to find optimum varieties of the processes leading to an achievement. Within the frame of the practical tutorials the students will be able to present achived results in the form of the project of tapping well. They must learn to apply their gained theoretical knowledge by the solution of concrete task within the frame of computation tutorials. The students must be able to judge the importance of gained information, to evaluate and choose this one, which is utilizable and essential for their next professional activity.
