Overview of pollutants in groundwater and soils– organic, inorganic pollutants, bacteriological contamination.
Transport of pollutants in groundwater – transport processes, advection, hydrodynamic dispersion, sorption, degradation.
Processes of natural attenuation - methodology of natural attenuation assessment on contaminated sites.
Exploration of pollution – methods for saturated zone, unsaturated zone, monitoring systems.
Groundwater protection principles – quantity and quality protection.
Protection zones of drinking water – mineral water protection, natural accumulation protection.
Remediation of groundwater – Passive and active methods, saturated and unsaturated zone.
Risk analyses – methodology.
Legislation in groundwater and surface water protection.
