1. Types of boreholes and deep drilling methods
2. Drilling rigs – main types and functional units of drilling rigs
3. Basics of drilling techniques - drillability of rocks, types of drilling bits, drilling and casing string
4. Data sets recovered from the borehole
5. Drilling in quarry conditions – purposes of borehole types, methods of drilling, boreholes used at the quarries
6. Core drilling and non-core drilling on the earth surface and in the mine conditions – drilling rig designs, drilling tools, borehole cementation, drilling rigs
7. Modern drilling methods, DTH drilling hammers, their design and practical use in the quarry and mine conditions
