Subject syllabus

The term of resources and reserves of mineral raw materials. World resources,
reserves and production of particular fuels and energy minerals, metalliferous,
nonmetalliferous and hydromineral raw materials. Major industrial types and
their shares in the amounts of resources, reserves and production overall and
according to major present and potential producers. Trends in the development
of reserves and production and factors affecting them. Problems of the
geographically and geopolitically uneven distribution of major mineral
resources. Issues of the relation between developing and industrially advanced
countries in connection with the utilisation of mineral resources. Mineral
resources of seas and oceans. Factors affecting their future utilisation. The
utilisation of world mineral resources and the issues of sustainable
development.
