The course extends and deepens the knowledge of hydrology courses master degree in the particular application and hydroinformaticsa area. PhD student should thus familiar with the latest applications of GIS and numerical models and methods of hydrological forecasts. It also emphasizes the relationship of hydrology to other earth sciences - especially meteorology and climatology, hydrogeology and soil science. It is also considered interactions between biota, land cover and gutter situation, an issue on which specializes in forest hydrology. Numerical models and their role are the other main areas in which the object of focus. Construction, operation and specific hydrological models - rainfall-runoff, erosion and hydrodynamic models - are discussed in terms of hydrological research and operational use. It is also demonstrated theoretically and practically link GIT and hydrological models. After completing the course the student should manage a theoretical framework and application of hydrological research tools.
