Subject syllabus

Physical properties of water and solution, chemical equilibrium in waters, protolytic and precipitation equilibrium, chemical composition of watres, Inorganic compounds in water: halogenides, phosphates, nitric-compounds, main cations, alkali metals, heavy metals. Natural organic matter (NOM), organic pollutant in waters (PAH, BTEX, AOX). Water classification: waste water, drinking water, municipal waste water. Eutrophization - cause, concentration of nutrients and chlorophyll, water ecotoxicity evaluation. The method of determination - main indicators.
