Subject syllabus

1) The presence, localization and characterization of deposits for the block of stone extraction.
2) The impact of physical - mechanical properties of rocks in mining, classification workability, production of blocks, natural conditions affecting disintegration.
3) Mining - Technical conditions for the extraction and processing of stone.
4) Principles for stripping works and progress working face.
5) Sorting and classification methods for mining blocks.
6) Technology of mining blocks: wedging, breaking, drilling, hitting notch machines and using of expansive mixtures.
7) Technology mining blocks of stone-cutting machines: rope, chain and circular saws.
8) Technology mining blocks by thermal cutting and blasting.
9) Lifting, handling, transport and manipulation of excavated stone blocks.
10) Processing technology blocks for rough stone production.
11) Processing technology blocks for fine stone production.
12) Non-traditional methods of rock disintegration and its processing.
13) Water, sewage and dump pile management for block mining stone.
14) Protection of the environmental and the working environment in quarrying. Rehabilitation after quarry activities and reclamation.
