Subject syllabus

1. Water and its basic physical and chemical properties, latent states, water cycle in nature
2. Natural waters, atmospheric, surface, underground, mineral, marine and their basic characteristics
3. Drinking and working water, requirements for quantity and quality, needs balance
4. Waste water, sewage, industrial, precipitation, mine and their characteristics, thermal pollution.
5. Watercourses, characteristics, types, distribution, basic hydrological data
6. Objects on watercourses, flood protection
7. Water tanks and ponds, overview, operation, safety
8. Water supply, collection, transport, accumulation and supply of drinking and process water
9. Water treatment, overview of basic processes and equipment for surface and ground water treatment
10. Wastewater and rainwater drainage
11. Waste water treatment, overview of basic processes and equipment
12. Organization and management of water management, overview of basic statistical data
13. Water management legislation, water law
14. Water Supply and Sewerage Act and other implementing regulations to the Water Act
